Until Dawn: Dr. Hill Returns, Peter Stormare Called Back

The face of Peter Stromare is certainly among the most recognizable to cinema and TV lovers. From Fargo to Constantine, passing through Prison Break and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, the Swedish actor has also played Dr. Hill, the analyst, in Until Dawn. This is one of the most iconic characters in the work of Supermassive Games.

Now, according to the latest information, Stromare will reprise the role in the film based on the 2015 video game of the same name. However, it seems that he is the only “familiar face” in the entire cast. The main character actors from the game, such as Ahsley Brown, Ben Washington, Hayden Panettiere, or Rami Malek, are not participating in the film production. Instead, it appears that Ella Rubin, Michael Cimino, Ji-Young Yoo, and Odessa A’Zion have been hired in their place. Additionally, the recent additions Maia Mitchell and Belmont Cameli will join them.

Announced at the beginning of the year alongside the remastered version of the original game, the film of Until Dawn does not yet have a precise release date. It is clear, in fact, that production is still far from the first shot and that they are currently finishing putting the pieces of the puzzle together.

In the meantime, on the video game side, it emerges that the awaited remaster on PlayStation 5 and PC has received an ERSB rating (the US entity equivalent to our PEGI). Unsurprisingly, it is a horror game intended for ages 18 and over. Announced at the beginning of the year during a State of Play, the remastering project is expected this year, but there is still no official date. The rating, however, raises hopes for a fairly imminent release.
