Here’s a summary of the most significant new features to explore:

- Ambush Enhancements: Encountering invisible allied forces now halts your army without triggering the ambush, revealing the hidden unit. Additionally, ambushes cannot receive reinforcements or be bombarded.
- Civic Progress Rebalancing: Many civic progress items have new effects or unlock conditions, particularly in the areas of government and society.
- Nuclear Enhancements: Missiles now have a Change Base command, allowing you to move between silos to reach targets, simplifying management of spaces for your nuclear programme.
- New Game Settings: The Pace settings in the new game screen now include the following new options:
- Disable Humanity’s Congress
- Disable vassalage
- Enable instant army movement (this setting cannot be changed during an ongoing game)
- Cloud Saving on Games2Gether: If you have logged into Games2Gether in-game, you can now upload your player profile and saves to Games2Gether, making them easier to transfer between platforms.
- New Scenario: Test your leadership skills by guiding the Persians through the Industrial and Contemporary eras despite internal turmoil in the Industrial Revolt scenario. Recommended for both beginners and seasoned players.
